Milton C. Burrow

Milton C. Burrow (born October 30, 1920 ; † 2017 ) was an American sound engineer .

Life

Burrow began his career in television in the early 1960s, where he worked on various television series, including the western series Josh and West of Santa Fé . He made his feature film debut in 1962 with the western The Last Command by Arnold Laven . For his work in television he was nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy between 1974 and 1977 , which he won twice: in 1975 for the miniseries QB VII and in 1977 for Irvin Kershner's action film ... who know no mercy . From the mid-1970s he worked exclusively on film productions.

In 1977 he received a nomination for the BAFTA Film Award in the category Best Sound for Die Unbrechlichen . 1990 he worked for Black Rain along with William L. Manger for the Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing nomination.

Burrow retired from the film business in 1995, his last work being Steven Seagal's action film Alert: Red 2 .
