Mimi Gibson (born October 19, 1948 in Renton , Washington ) is a former American actress .

Life

Mimi Gibson was born in Renton, a suburb of Seattle , Washington State. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother and sister when she was two years old . At the same age, she played minor roles in several films, including In All My Dreams You're You (1951).

In the 1950s she appeared in almost 30 films, for example in Houseboat (1958) alongside Cary Grant and Sophia Loren , in The Eagle Equals (1957) alongside John Wayne , in The Ten Commandments (1956), Drango (1957) and in Alarm for exclusion zone 7 (1957). She had a leading role in the film The Courage of Black Beauty (1957), which was never shown in Germany. In addition to films, she has also appeared as a guest star in many popular television series.

In the 1960s, the number of film roles decreased. She starred in only four films, including as Evelyn in Infam (1961) alongside Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine . In 1961 she worked for the only time as a voice actress and spoke the role of the dog "Lucky" in the Disney cartoon 101 Dalmatians . In the 1960s she was still in a few television series such as My Three Sons and Growing Up . Between 1962 and 1966 she did not work as an actress. 1966, 1967 and 1968 each followed an appearance in a television series. In 1968 she appeared in her last film ... but the blood always red in appearance.

After her film career, Mimi Gibson found out that her mother had spent the wages she earned as a child actress and that she therefore no longer had the financial means to attend college. She married at the age of 20 and left her mother. Although Gibson later got along with her, she shaped the experience. As a result, she is committed to ensuring that child actors can keep part of their income. She works in the organization "A Minor Consideration", which is run by her houseboat co-child star Paul Petersen .

Gibson lives in Northern California with her husband .
