The Minas Brasília Tênis Clube (abbr .: MBTC) is a sports and social club in Brasília ( DF ), the capital of Brazil . The sports practiced there include tennis and swimming , as well as team sports such as football and futsal .

history

Only a few months after the official inauguration of the planned capital Brasiliá, the MBTC was founded as a branch association by members of the traditional Minas Tênis Clube from Belo Horizonte . His most important supporter and first honorary president was the then incumbent President of the Republic Juscelino Kubitschek . The club area is located directly on Lago Paranoá opposite the Universidade de Brasília .

There has been a cooperation with the ICESP University (Instituto Científico de Ensino Superior e Pesquisa) for several years. The women's football team (Minas / ICESP), which is run by her as a semi-professional, plays its home games at the Estádio Maria de Lourdes Abadia in Ceilândia . It won the second division championship of Brazilian women's football in 2018 after beating EC Vitória in the final and thus qualified for the first division of the 2019 season. On August 26, 2018, Minas Brasília secured the third district championship title in a neighborhood duel against CRESSPOM .
