Mindaugas Beinoras (born May 18, 1987 in Kretinga ) is a Lithuanian chess player .

Life

In 1991 Mindaugas Beinoras' family moved to Klaipėda . He learned to play chess from his father at the age of seven, and his first coach was Jonas Lapeginas. From 1994 to 2004 he attended the Liudvikas Stulpinas School in Klaipėda and from 2004 to 2006 the Varpo High School in the Lithuanian port city. After graduating from high school, Beinoras completed a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from 2006 to 2010 at the Aleksandras Stulginskis University in Kaunas , the Agricultural University of Lithuania.

successes

In 2004, Beinoras won the Klaipėda City Individual Championship. At the 24th Sell Student Games in Espoo in May 2008 , he won the individual and team competition, playing for the Aleksandras Stulginskis University. He took part in the European Club Cup 2008 with the Panevėžys Chess Club , after which he moved to Montalitus Kaunas . At the European Club Cups in 2009 and 2010 he played for ŠK Margiris Kaunas . With the Lithuanian national team, he took part in the 2012 and 2014 Chess Olympiads and the 2013 and 2015 European Team Championships.

Since November 2008 he has held the title of International Master . He fulfilled the norms for this in March 2008 at the Neckar Open in Deizisau (exceeded with 6.5 out of 9), at the European Championships in May 2008 in Plovdiv (exceeded with 5.5 out of 11) and at the 10th Open International de Sans im August 2008 in Barcelona . His highest Elo rating to date was 2434 in October 2008, after he was able to increase his Elo rating by more than 200 points in less than a year and a half: in July 2007, his Elo rating was 2223.
