ŠK Margiris Kaunas
ŠK Margiris Kaunas (lit. Kauno šachmatų klubas "Margiris" ) is a chess club in Kaunas , Lithuania . Its predecessor was the sports club "Banga". ŠK “Margiris” has been independent since 1993. On April 30, 1997, it was entered in the Register of Legal Entities. The chess club was headed by the chess player Algimantas Butnorius . The teams took part in the European Club Cup . Correspondence chess is also played .
