Titas Stremavičius (born February 15, 1998 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian chess player .

Life

Titas Stremavičius is studying at the Jonas Basanavičius Gymnasium in Kaunas and at the sports school “Jaunalietuvių sporto organizacija”. His trainer is FIDE Master Laimutis Šolys.

Stremavičius has represented Lithuania at the World Youth and European Youth Championships since 2007, his greatest success being third place at the 2015 European Youth Championships in the U18 age group. In 2015 he won the Lichtenrader Herbst 2015 in front of the grandmasters Andrej Kawaljou , Jakob Meister , Oleh Romanyschyn , Alexander Danin , Sergei Kasparow and Mladen Muše .

In April 2015 Stremavičius was named International Master . By this time he had already met four standards, namely in June 2014 at the Baltija IM CUP in Palanga , in August 2014 at the 4th Chess Festival of the Riga Technical University , in February 2015 at the Winterchess GM tournament in Manacor and in March 2015 at the 31 Open in Cappelle-la-Grande . He played for ŠK Margiris Kaunas . In 2016 he became Lithuanian runner-up. He has held the title of chess grandmaster since February 2020. He achieved the norms for this at the ELITE chess tournament in Panevėžys in July 2018 , at the 2018 Chess Olympiad in Batumi and at an invitation tournament in St. Louis .
