Darius Zagorskis (born November 20, 1969 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian chess player .

Life

Zagorskis studied at the Vilnius Sports School for Chess and Checkers . In 2005 he received the title of International Master and in 2008 the title of Honored International Master in Correspondence Chess .

In Nahschach he was named International Master in 1992 and Grand Master in 2013 . Zagorskis fulfilled the necessary grandmaster standards in June 1997 at the Mikėnas Memorial in Vilnius, in May 2008 at the Lithuanian individual championship in Kaunas and in November 2011 at the European team championship in Chalkidiki . In 2013 he became Lithuanian individual champion. Since 2008 he has been an Honored International Master (SIM) in correspondence chess.

In the German Federal Chess League he was registered for SV Mülheim-Nord in the 2004/05 season , but was not used.
