development

Former logo

The term “Mindbreeze” is derived from the English “mind” and “breeze”.

The first two Mindbreeze products came onto the market at the same time in 2005. These were Mindbreeze Desktop Search and Mindbreeze Enterprise Search (today Fabasoft Mindbreeze Enterprise). The software was developed to quickly find relevant information from all company applications as well as external data sources (Enterprise Search).

In 2005 the product was able to search across the board in:

The products have been available under Linux and Windows since the beginning . In 2006 Mindbreeze started a partner program for developers. The software development kit made it possible to use Mindbreeze technology in third-party products and to connect a third-party product to Fabasoft Mindbreeze Enterprise. With version 2.1, a web client was added to the Windows client at the beginning of 2006. This completely replaced the Windows client in 2008. In the years that followed, the focus was on usability , maximum scalability and understanding and analyzing content. The connectors (for connecting data sources) developed by Mindbreeze itself have been continuously developed and expanded since 2005. Additional products such as the Mindbreeze InSpire (formerly: Fabasoft Mindbreeze Appliance) and Fabasoft Mindbreeze Mobile were created.

From version "2010 Winter Release" (5.0), Mindbreeze Enterprise Search was renamed Fabasoft Mindbreeze Enterprise as part of the Fabasoft umbrella brand strategy.

particularities

In-house development

Mindbreeze is an in-house development by Mindbreeze GmbH.

Search-based application (SBA)

Mindbreeze InApp offers independent software manufacturers and system integrators the opportunity to create search-based applications based on the Mindbreeze product line and Mindbreeze technology.

Fabasoft Mindbreeze Mobile

Fabasoft Mindbreeze Mobile is based on the Fabasoft Mindbreeze Enterprise product to enable mobile access to company-wide distributed data via smartphone . The connected company data sources can be searched using an input field on a smartphone. Among other things, the search in Wikipedia and Google is supported. The preview function, which is independent of the file format, enables smartphones to have and read information from all connected data sources at any time.

Mindbreeze InSite

Mindbreeze InSite is a secure and semantic search for websites (Secure Site Search). The product is web-based (cloud) and therefore does not have to be installed beforehand. Only one code is integrated into the website. The search service runs on a server in the Fabasoft data centers. The search results are displayed including thumbnails from the pages on which the search terms are located. Semantic connections and meta information are extracted automatically so that dynamic facets support you in navigating to the information you are looking for.

Mindbreeze InSpire

Mindbreeze InSpire is an enterprise search appliance for company-wide searches. Mindbreeze InSpire searches all connected data sources, links the information found and makes the data available in a sorted and structured manner.
