Fabasoft (an abbreviation of Fa llmann Ba uernfeind Soft ware) is a company that develops software for the digital business processes ( enterprise content management , e-file , personnel files , document management ), enterprise search and knowledge management ( semantic search , Big Data ) and develops and sells cross- company collaboration and business processes in the cloud , especially for public clients ( e-government ) and commercial enterprises with high compliance / security requirements. The main product is the eGov-Suite , which is used today in public administration in almost all of Austria, and widespread in Germany and Switzerland.

History and corporate structure

The company was founded in 1988 by Helmut Fallmann and Leopold Bauernfeind.

Fabasoft AG shares have been listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since October 4, 1999 . The majority of the shares are held by the Fallmann & Bauernfeind private foundation of the company founders (67.19%, of which 5% in the form of FB Beteiligungen  GmbH). The 3 Banken-Generali Investment-Gesellschaft  mbH ( 3 banks group Oberbank , Bank für Tirol und Vorarlberg , BKS Bank with Generali Holding Vienna ) holds 3.96% of the shares, the Ludic  GmbH 5.06% and the rest is in the Free float.

In addition, Fabasoft AG holds 76% of the company shares in the IT subsidiary Mindbreeze .

The city of Linz rejected the company's wish to build a new company building near the university, for which a plot of 11,000 square meters would have to be rededicated, following severe criticism from several political parties in the city council.

Products

Fabasoft produces Fabasoft eGov-Suite , software for e-government , Fabasoft Cloud , software for electronic file management, and Fabasoft Folio , software for enterprise content management . The company looks after customers in the areas of federal and state administrations, municipalities, interest groups and private companies.

E-government software enables applications to be submitted via the Internet, electronic business case processing and the electronic exchange of documents between administration and citizens as well as audit-proof archiving . In 2001 the company was awarded the contract by the Republic of Austria together with the Federal Computing Center and IBM to introduce the electronic file ELAK in the federal government, which is now also used by the majority of the federal states and some municipalities. In Switzerland, the company is also represented with a product that is considered the standard in the federal government.

In the enterprise content management area, MoReq2 -certified software is offered for capturing, managing and archiving documents as well as for the automation of business processes.

According to its own information, Fabasoft is certified according to ISO 9001 , ISO 20000 , ISO 27001 and has completed the test procedure according to ISAE 3402 Type 2.
