Fabasoft Cloud is a software product for cloud computing with functions for document management and collaboration over the Internet. It was developed by Fabasoft in Linz , presented to the public for the first time in January 2010 under the name Fabasoft Folio Cloud and has been called Fabasoft Cloud since 2015. According to the NIST definition for cloud computing, Fabasoft Cloud is a public cloud that is available as software as a service and can also be used via smartphones ( iOS , Blackberry and Android ).

Fabasoft Cloud is a cloud computing service for collaboration over the Internet. The user interface is currently available in 19 languages. The product is web-based. It can be used directly via the Internet via the web browser.
- Collaboration tool
- In Fabasoft Cloud, users work together on documents in so-called "team rooms". A team room is a closed area only for team members, whereby they can be granted different rights (reading rights, editing rights or all rights).
- Workflows in Fabasoft Cloud enable structured collaboration. For example, it is possible to map the business process for the approval of a document by different users or groups in Fabasoft Cloud.
- Fabasoft Cloud integrates Skype and other tools for direct communication such as newsfeeds and instant messaging .

- Fabasoft is certified according to ISO 27001 , ISO 20000 , ISO 9001 and tested according to SAS 70 Type II.
- The data in Fabasoft Cloud is stored in two mirrored data centers in Central Europe and kept synchronized. In addition, a backup of the data is kept in a third data center. The users can decide in which cloud location their data are stored. The choice of cloud location determines the data center in which the data is physically stored.
- All communication and transmission of data is encrypted via HTTPS .
- Fabasoft Cloud integrates secure login procedures such as two-factor authentication with mobile PIN or login with digital identity cards (German ID card, Austrian citizen card with mobile phone signature, SuisseID).
- Document management
- It is possible to map local directories from the PC in the Fabasoft Cloud and provide them with appropriate read and write rights for third parties. A synchronization function is also built in. Fabasoft Cloud can also be integrated as a network drive via WebDAV . Documents for Microsoft Office , Apple iWork and OpenOffice.org as well as other file formats can be created directly in Fabasoft Cloud.
- The version management automatically creates its own copy of the document for each processing. This means that all work steps can be traced back seamlessly.
- Mobile use
- By supporting open standards such as WebDAV , CalDAV and CMIS , Fabasoft Cloud supports mobile devices with the most popular operating systems such as Apple iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone 7. The Google Play Store and the Apple App Store have applications specifically designed for use on Android and iOS devices available.
- Fabasoft Cloud uses Mindbreeze Mobile as an integrated mobile search.
Awards
Fabasoft Folio Cloud was awarded the Pentadoc ECM Award in 2011 and achieved second place in the Best in Cloud at Computerwoche as Platform as a Service . In 2012, Fabasoft Folio Cloud won the IT Innovation Award 2012 from Initiative Mittelstand, came second at the EuroCloud Germany Awards and was named the best Platform as a Service at the Best in Cloud at Computerwoche . In 2013 Fabasoft Folio Cloud received the EuroCloud Germany Award 2013 in the category “Best Business Impact”, the EuroCloud.Austria Award 2013 in the category “Best Case Study Commercial Stector” and the EuroCloud Europe Award 2013 in the category “Best Business Impact by Cloud Services ". In addition, Fabasoft received the Detecon ICT Award 2013 as well as the Innovation Award 2013 at the German Best in Cloud Award and third place in the Private / Hybrid Cloud category.
