Mindelberg is a district of the Upper Swabian market of Pfaffenhausen in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria .

The hamlet of Mindelberg is about three kilometers south of Pfaffenhausen and is connected to the main town via a local road.

history

A castle of the Mindelbergers , servants of the Welfs , used to stand on the Mindelberg hill . The hamlet was first mentioned in 1140. On May 3, 1349, the Augsburg Bishop Marquard I von Randeck destroyed the fortress and castle of Mindelberg . The reason were feuds between the lord of the castle Schwigger VI. and the bishop of Augsburg .
