Mindless Self Indulgence (short: MSI ., Dt as senseless indulgence or Cavalier excessiveness ) is an American punk band.
style
music
They call MSI's music “Industrial Jungle Pussy Punk”, with elements of techno , industrial rock and hip-hop in the music . In the beginning, on the album Tight , her songs are composed entirely of Atari sounds, which have now become an integral part of her songs. The lyrics often deal with the issue of homosexuality fairly directly and portray society's problems in a harsh way (as in the songs Fagot , Kill The Rock and Masturbates, for example ).
Appearances
Mindless Self Indulgence come up with eye-catching outfits and hairstyles. They are especially adored by the fans for their performances, in which MSI show a closeness to the fans that is atypical for bands of this size. For example, “Jimmy” often lets stage security carry individual fans from the first row up to the stage in order to involve them in conversations or gags. The bassist Lyn-Z, on the other hand, often prefers stage diving and often does a backbend.
Others
Jimmy Urine and "Steve, Righ?" Have started a side project called The Left Rights , in which they specialize more in electro elements and on November 9, 2010 they released their second studio album, "Bad Choices Made Easy".
Jimmy Urine was the voice actor for a character from the 2012 game 'Lollipop Chainsaw'.
