The Mineral Hill (German: Mineralhügel ) is a 445 m high hill with a rounded summit on the Tabarin Peninsula in the north of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 2.5 km west of Trepassey Bay . Its flanks are free of ice and covered with rubble .
The hill was probably first sighted during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld . Scientists from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out an initial mapping in 1946 and named the mound after the reddish mineral that gives the mound its distinctive color.
