Minna Schröder

Minna Schröder , née Beyer (born February 22, 1878 in Schwerin , † April 9, 1965 in Hamburg ) was a politician of the SPD and a member of the Hamburg citizenship during the Weimar Republic .

Life and politics

Minna Schröder attended elementary school in Schwerin. After attending school, she quickly became active in agitation for social democracy . She married a tailor in Schwerin in 1899 . They moved to Hamburg in 1907, where they quickly reintegrated into the local SPD and actively worked. Among other things, she worked as a maid.

She sat for the SPD from 1919 to 1921 in the Hamburg parliament. From 1920 to 1922 she was head of the Women's Action Committee and a member of the state executive committee of the Hamburg SPD.
