Tim's birthday party is celebrated with many guests and lots of alcohol. For example, Tim's best buddy Freddo, a cannabis fan and party animal, gets stuck in the elevator with the hated Dieter. The somewhat dull Kiana tries to start a love affair with a former lover, while Michael enjoys himself excessively with alcohol and other drugs . All events take place at the same party, but each of the four guests tells a different, subjective story.

Digital VD writes: “... the not so bad basic idea of 'Minus Zwei' breaks the film's neck because the events at the party are just as uninteresting as the one-dimensional characters who merely chew on blunt stereotypes. Nothing more happens in the course of the almost 70-minute 'plot'. There is neither a story nor any kind of red thread that meanders through the boring party landscape ... "
