Minuscule 68 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), ε 269 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 291 sheets of parchment (21 × 14.5 cm). Using paleography , the manuscript was dated to the 11th century. The handwriting is complete.
description
The code contains the text of the four gospels . It was written in one column with 23 lines each and contains Epistula ad Carpianum , Eusebian tables, lists of the κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, ammonian sections (not Eusebian canon ), liturgical reading pieces, synaxarium and menologion.
The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type . Aland placed it in Category V a.
history
The explorer George Wheler brought this manuscript from Zakynthos to England in 1676 . The code was examined by John Mill .
The Code is currently located at Lincoln College (Gr. 17) in Oxford .
