Mirčeta Đurović

Mirčeta Đurović (born August 25, 1924 in Danilovgrad , Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes ; † 2011 in Podgorica , Montenegro ) was a Yugoslav economist and politician.

Life

He studied economics at the University of Belgrade , where he received his doctorate in 1956 . In the 1950s he was an employee of the Historical Institute of Montenegro. From 1960 he was an associate professor, from 1971 a full professor of economic theory at the University of Belgrade. When the University of Titograd was founded in 1974 , he became its rector (until 1978).

From 1967 to 1971 he was a member of the Republic Parliament of Montenegro, from 1974 to 1978 he was a member of the Central Committee of the Montenegrin State Association of the Union of Communists of Yugoslavia , from 1979 to 1982 he was a member of the Central Committee at federal level.

From 1981 he was a full member of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (CANU) .
