Mircea Bedivan

Mircea Bedivan (born October 8, 1957 in Constanța ) is a former Romanian handball player .

He played for SS Constanța and Dinamo Bucharest . For the Romanian national team Bedivan played 138 international matches in which he scored 271 goals. He represented his country at the 1978 World Cup and the 1982 World Cup , where Romania finished seventh and fifth. In 1984 Bedivan took part in the 1984 Olympic Games . In Los Angeles, the Romanians won the first four games and only lost to the eventual Olympic champion Yugoslavia in the last group game with 17:18. In the game for third place, Bedivan won the bronze medal with the Romanian national team after beating Denmark.
