Mirko Cvetković

Mirko Cvetković ( Serbian - Cyrillic Мирко Цветковић ; born August 16, 1950 in Zaječar , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian politician and was Prime Minister of the country from 2008 to 2012.

He graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Economics and worked in the Mining Institute for ten years. From January 2001 he worked as a representative of the Minister of Economy and Privatization and from 2003 to 2004 he was director of the Privatization Agency. He then headed the consulting agency Intercon.

Since May 15, 2007, the non-party Cvetković was Serbia's finance minister . After the parliamentary elections in 2008 he was nominated by Boris Tadić as Prime Minister of Serbia and elected by parliament on July 7th.
