Mirosław Sekuła (born June 20, 1955 in Strzelce Opolskie ) is a Polish politician of the Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

1970 to 1975 he attended the technical center in Sławięcice and then studied at the Silesian Technical University . There he received his master's degree in technical chemistry in 1980 . He then worked at the Institute for Chemical Coal Processing until 1994. In July 1994 Sekuła became deputy mayor of Zabrze and stayed that way until 1998. In the 1997 parliamentary elections , he won a seat for the Sejm . At the same time he held a seat in the Sejmik of the Silesian Voivodeship from 1998 to 2001 . On July 20, 2001, Mirosław Sekuła became President of the Supreme Control Chamber ( Najwyższa Izba Kontroli ) of Poland. He stayed in this position until July 24, 2007. From 2004 to 2005 he completed a postgraduate course at the Silesian Technical University in the field of economics. In 2007 he was temporarily president of the Zabrze water and sewerage company. In the early parliamentary elections in 2007 he ran in the constituency 29 of Gliwice and was able to win another seat for the Sejm with 22,261 votes. On November 6, 2009, Mirosław Sekuła became chairman of the investigation committee into the gambling affair. In this affair, the industry is said to have tried to prevent the introduction of a gambling tax by improper lobbying.

Mirosław Sekuła is married and has two children.
