Miroslav Barčík (born May 26, 1978 in Čadca ) is a former Slovak football player .
Club career
Barčík played for OŠK Rudinka and MŠK Žilina in his youth . He got his first professional contract with MŠK Žilina, where he played for the first time between 1996 and 2001. In July 2001 he got a two-year contract with the Turkish first division promoted Göztepe Izmir , he played little there and returned to MŠK after a year. Barčík played a second time in the years 2002 to 2006 for MŠK Žilina and won the Slovak championship title twice with the club. He then moved to the Greek newly promoted Ergotelis for a year , before he was under contract with FC Spartak Trnava for two years , in the 2008/09 season he was loaned to FC Nitra . He then played again abroad, at the nearby Polish club Polonia Bytom , where he was a regular for two years. Barčík moved to MŠK Žilina for the third time in June 2011, where he got a two-year contract and the captain's armband.
National team
Barčík played for Slovakia at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney . He completed two international matches for the Slovak national football team.
