Christopher Toohey
Christopher Henry Toohey (born April 19, 1952 in Balmain ) is former bishop of Wilcannia-Forbes .
Life
The Archbishop of Sydney , James Darcy Cardinal Freeman , ordained him a priest on August 21, 1982 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Wilcannia-Forbes on July 9, 2001 . The Archbishop of Melbourne , George Pell , donated him episcopal ordination on August 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Edward Bede Cardinal Clancy , Archbishop of Sydney, and Douglas Joseph Warren , Bishop Emeritus of Wilcannia-Forbes.
He resigned from his office on June 9, 2009.
