Miroslav Duben (born November 8, 1974 in Havlíčkův Brod , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player who was active in the Czech extra league for HC Dukla Jihlava , HC Pardubice , HC Energie Karlovy Vary and BK Mladá Boleslav , among others .

Career

Miroslav Duben began his career as a hockey player at HC Dukla Jihlava , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Czech extra league in the 1997/98 season . After relegation in the 1998/99 season , the defender played for Dukla for three years until 2002 in the second-rate first division . From 1999 he was also on the ice for HC Pardubice in the Extraliga. He left this for the 2004/05 season , which he spent at his league rivals HC Liberec . The left-handed shooter then signed with HC Energie Karlovy Vary , with whom he became Czech champions for the first time in the 2008/09 season and with whom he was able to return the favor at HC Slavia Prague for the previous year's defeat in the playoff final.

For the 2009/10 season Duben was obliged by BK Mladá Boleslav . After a year and a half, he left the team and joined HK Nitra from the Slovak extra league in January 2011 .
