Life

Miroslav Klimes' parents moved to Saxony in the late 1940s and settled in Dresden . He learned the profession of decoration painter and worked in Dresden until 1970. From 1970 to 1975 he studied at the Dresden University of Fine Arts with Gerd Jaeger and Helmut Heinze .

He was a member of the Association of Visual Artists . He exhibited regularly in the Dresden art exhibitions. At the end of the 1980s he lived in Bautzen and had his own studio there. As a sculptor he created works for public spaces in Dresden, Bautzen and Zittau (Jonsdorf). His art was related to architecture. He preferred models and works of art that corresponded to human life and work. The rhythmic structuring and modeling of the bodies seem to create moving visual accents, which allow the mostly relief-like figures to merge into one another. For the artistic design in the residential area of Dresden-Gorbitz , he worked out various model proposals in 1984 (archival signature 89.)
