Ruka ( Norwegian for pile ) is a 1530 m high nunatak in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It rises on the western flank of the Byrdbreen in the east of the Sør Rondane mountains .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1988.
