Misery Bear

Misery Bear is an English comedy character created by Chris Hayward and Nat Saunders. It is a depressive teddy bear with a tendency to excessive alcohol consumption , who constantly fails both at work and in his search for love.

Since 2009, more than 20 video clips have been made and published on the Internet by the British Broadcasting Corporation . The figure of the Misery Bear is a toy stuffed animal about 25 to 30 cm in size that is moved from outside the picture using real film technology . Computer animation is rarely used, stop-motion or animation are not used. Some of these clips were produced for the benefit of nonprofit organizations such as Comic Relief , Children in Need, Sport Relief, and Amnesty International . In October 2011, the book Misery Bear's Guide to Love & Heartbreak ( ISBN 1-4447-2805-9 ) was published by Hodder & Stoughton , a German translation provided by Christoph Bausum was published by Rowohlt in December 2012 under the title Misery Bear's Guide to Love ( ISBN 3-499-62529-6 ) published.

On February 9, 2012, the Misery Bear series was named "Best Internet Viral Show" (German: Best Show Published on the Internet) by the Latfas Comedy Awards, the British men's lifestyle magazine Loaded.
