miss A ( korean 미쓰 에이 ) was a four-member South Korean girl group , which in 2010 by JYP Entertainment was founded. The group was managed by AQ Entertainment until 2013 and then directly by JYP Entertainment. Members Fei and Jia are from China , Min and Suzy from South Korea . Her first song Bad Girl Good Girl from the single album Bad But Good reached number one on the South Korean annual charts in 2010 .
On December 27, 2017, JYP Entertainment announced the dissolution of the group after Jia and Min had already left the agency in May 2016 and November 2017.
history
2010–2011: Debut with Bad Girl Good Girl
In July 2010 JYP Entertainment announced the formation of a new girl group consisting of the members Fei, Jia, Suzy and Min. Miss A officially debuted on July 1, 2010 with the single album Bad But Good and the single Bad Girl Good Girl . The group's debut single was an instant hit. It entered the Gaon Charts at number 19 and reached number 1 the following week, where it stayed for 4 weeks.
On September 26th, the second single album Step Up was released together with the single Breathe .
On May 2, 2011, Love Alone, the pre-release single for the group's first studio album, was released. The album, called A Class , was released on July 18, along with the single Goodbye Baby .
On September 30th, Miss A officially debuted in China with a special edition of their album A Class , which features Chinese versions of their previously released singles.
2012–2017: Touch, Hush and Dissolution
On February 20, 2012, the mini-album Touch was released together with the single of the same name. A month later, Touch also appeared in a Chinese version in Hong Kong and Taiwan .
During the promotion of the mini-album Independent Women Part III , which was released on October 15, 2012 together with the single I Don't Need a Man , the group got into a car accident in which none of the members was seriously injured.
In the following time it was quiet about Miss A. On October 29th the album Hush was released together with the single of the same name and on March 30th 2015 the mini-album Colors was released. After that, all group activities were suspended indefinitely.
On May 20, 2016, JYP Entertainment announced that Jia had left the group and agency. Her contract had expired and was not renewed.
On November 9, 2017, it was announced that Min had also left the group and agency.
On December 27th, JYP Entertainment announced the final dissolution of the group. The two remaining members Fei and Suzy had already extended their contracts with the agency and will appear as solo artists in the future.
