Bae Suzy (* 10. October 1994 in Gwangju ) is a South Korean pop singer , actress and was a member of the girl group miss A .

Career

In 2009, Suzy took part in the casting show Superstar K and made the first rounds, but later dropped out. However, she became aware of a talent scout from JYP Entertainment and became a trainee for the agency.

In July 2010 JYP Entertainment founded the girl group miss A with Suzy and the three other members Wang Fei Fei, Meng Jia and Lee Min-young. Bae Suzy was the “baby boy” of the group. Their first album, A Class , was released on July 18, 2011. The group was particularly successful in South Korea and the People's Republic of China and disbanded in 2017.

Suzy hosted a number of music programs in South Korea, including MBC Music Core from 2010 to 2011 . In 2011 she made her acting debut in the KBS drama Dream High .

Together with seven other pop stars, Suzy is a regular member of the KBS reality show Invincible Youth 2 . The broadcast began on November 12, 2011.

In 2012 she played a leading role in the love story Architecture 101 . She received the Paeksang Arts Award in the Best Young Actress category for her performance .

In 2019 she will play one of the leading roles in the disaster film Baekdusan .
