The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis in the US state of Missouri is one of the largest botanical gardens in the world with 32 hectares of landscaped area . It is a National Historic Landmark and is on the National Register of Historic Places .

Founded in 1859, it is one of the oldest botanical institutions in the United States . The garden is a center for botanical research and teaching. The herbarium contains almost 7 million specimens of mosses and vascular plants (as of 2018).

The garden is also a tourist attraction in the city of St. Louis. Every year the garden hosts many cultural festivals including the Japanese Festival and the Chinese Culture Days of the St. Louis Moderns Chinese School .
