Missy Gold (* 14. July 1970 in Great Falls , Montana as Melissa Fisher ) is an American actress .

Life

Gold was born to Joe and Bonnie Fisher a year after their sister Tracey . In 1973 their mother married Harry Goldstein and both daughters were adopted by their new husband. Harry and Bonnie Goldstein had three other daughters - Brandy, Jessie, and Cassie. The four siblings Tracey (best known for her role as Carol Seaver in Our Loud Home ), Brandy (best known for her role as Alexis in Dr. Westphall ), Jessie (various supporting roles in American television series) and Missy are all actors and use as stage names the shortened version of their last name.

In addition to various guest roles on series such as Trapper John, MD , Gold had a leading role on the sitcom Benson . After Benson, she ended her acting career and began studying at Georgetown University , which she completed with a Dr. phil. from the California School of Professional Psychology . Today she works as a psychologist in Maine under the name Melissa Gold .

Awards

Missy Gold was nominated for the Young Artist Award from 1981 to 1985 and won it in 1984.
