Waltraud Paluszkiewicz (born July 10, 1932 in Berlin ) is a former German athlete from the German Democratic Republic (GDR).

Waltraud Paluszkiewicz reached the final of the GDR championships in the long jump from 1955 to 1961 . In 1955 she won with 5.30 m, in 1958 she took second place behind Hildrun Claus with 5.65 m, in 1956, 1959 and 1960 she jumped to third place. In 1959 she won the pentathlon title with 4459 points ahead of Christa Gutsche .

In 1959, she twice improved the GDR long jump record. On June 21, she jumped 6.08 m, on September 20, in Bydgoszcz in the international match against Poland, she managed a jump to 6.19 m, with which she jumped up to 16 centimeters on the world record of Elżbieta Krzesińska , which she in this Could also beat international competition. Hildrun Claus exceeded her record in May 1960. Another GDR record was her pentathlon performance in Aue in August 1959, when she was GDR champion with 4459 points.
