The debut album of the rapper Lia 74 is with different eyes . It was released in April 2008.
History of origin
Lia 74 started her career in 2003 and released the EP Punchlinehagel that same year . A year later followed the mixtape On the Way Up with the rapper Kiddo . In 2006 and 2007 the recordings were made for her debut album With Different Eyes , which was released in spring 2008. She worked with different producers .
layout
The left half of the cover shows the artist's upper body - at that time still with black hair - who wears a black top and is depicted with a thoughtful expression on her face. Graffito can be seen in the background in the colors black, pale green and white . At the top right is the rapper's name in the form of a coat of arms ; A road is also shown very faintly . Almost half of the pieces ( Superstars , Glas hoch , Dowm mit uns , Scheinbar nicht and Ein Mic ) can be assigned to battle rap style. In Superstars , which is underlaid with an oriental beat, Lia and guest rapper Sucuk Ufuc celebrate - according to the title - as "Superstars". In my way , she deals with disappointments, as does the follow-up play Zukunft , in which Lia 74 also speculates about her future. This path , in which disappointments are also discussed, deals with social inequality and the rapper's own well-being, but emphasizes that she does not give up on herself.

The album received mostly positive reviews. rap4fame.de awarded it 3.5 out of a total of five crowns. The conclusion is as follows: Almost 45 minutes of playing time are over and I am impressed. Up until this release I didn't really have "Frauenrap" on my list, let alone heard it. Since I was able to hear Lia on our "Lichtblicke" sampler, I have been taken with her. There is something about the woman that pulls me away and impresses me. Be it her distinctive voice, her aggressive nature (no, I'm not masochistic) or her consistently good lines and flow. The lady knows what she is doing and shows it on this LP.
hiphopjudge.com also rated the album highly. The rapper seems "very believable and authentic" . The album is "a good debut" and the artist has "clearly shown her talent" .
