Mitch O'Keefe (born March 29, 1984 in Almonte , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with HK Jesenice in the Austrian ice hockey league since 2010 .

Career

O'Keefe began his career with the Ferris State University ice hockey team and completed three seasons in the NCAA before he was a professional on the ice for the first time in the 2007-08 season and played two games for the Iowa Stars in the American Hockey League . The following season he began with the Binghamton Senators , but moved despite good performance to the Elmira Jackals in the ECHL , where he shared the Ice Age with Michael-Lee Teslak and David Shantz . In the 2009/10 season he played for the Utah Grizzlies , but where he was no longer used in the playoffs.

In the summer of 2010 it was announced that O'Keefe was moving to HK Jesenice in Europe , where he will form the goalkeeper duo with the Finn Jaakko Suomalainen .
