The Mitew Glacier ( Bulgarian Митев ледник Mitew lednik ) is a 2.9 km long and 2.5 km wide glacier on the Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows in a northwest direction to Hill Bay , which it reaches west of Petroff Point .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2010 after the Bulgarian pediatrician and cardiologist Ivan Mitew (1924-2006), the discoverer of the VI. Heart tones .
