The river Brune rises on the territory of the municipality. Brunehamel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Autels and Résigny in the south-east, Parfondeval in the south-west, Dohis in the west and the communities of Iviers in the canton of Hirson in the north-west, Aubenton in the north and Mont-Saint-Jean .
