geography

The municipality is located on a plateau in the Thiérache 37 kilometers northeast of Laon and around six kilometers south of the canton capital Vervins . Gronard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gercy in the northwest and north, Hary in the northeast and east, Burelles in the southeast, Prisces in the south, Houry in the southwest and the municipality of Saint-Gobert in the canton of Marle in the west.
