Vigneux-Hocquet is a French municipality with 268 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to Arrondissement Vervins , the Canton of Vervins (2015 Rozoy-sur-Serre ) and the Association of Municipalities Portes de la Thiérache .

Vigneux-Hocquet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Braye-en-Thiérache in the north-west, Nampcelles-la-Cour in the north, Dagny-Lambercy in the north-east, Renneval in the east, Chaourse in the south-east and the communities of Agnicourt-et-Séchelles in the canton of Marle in the southwest and Tavaux-et-Pontséricourt in the west.

history

On September 14, 1887, the villages of Vigneux and Houquet were combined to form the municipality of Vigneux-Hocquet. The municipality was incorporated into the Arrondissement Vervins on January 1, 2017 by decree of the prefecture from the Arrondissement Laon .
