Voharies is a French municipality with 73 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Aisne department in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). It belongs to the Vervins arrondissement , the Marle canton (until 2015 Sains-Richaumont ) and the Thiérache du Center municipal association .

Voharies is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rougeries in the north, Saint-Gobert in the northeast, Lugny in the east and southeast, Thiernu in the southwest, Berlancourt in the west and Marfontaine (point of contact) in the northwest.
history
The origin of the village of Voharies goes back to a medieval farm called Boharius . The place was initially a hamlet of the commune of Rougeries and became an independent commune at the beginning of the French Revolution .
