Origny-en-Thiérache is located in the Thiérache near the border with Belgium . Origny-en-Thiérache is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ohis in the north, Neuve-Maison and Buire in the northeast, La Hérie in the east, Landouzy-la-Ville in the southeast, Landouzy-la-Cour in the south and La Bouteille in the west.
