Soize is a village and a former French community with 310 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belonged to the arrondissement of Nogent-le-Rotrou and the canton of Brou (until 2015: canton of Authon-du-Perche ). The inhabitants are called Soizéens .
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Authon-du-Perche and Soizé were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Authon-du-Perche of the same name , where they have the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are in Authon-du-Perche.
geography
Soizé is about 46 kilometers southwest of Chartres in the Perche . Soizé is surrounded by the villages of Authon-du-Perche in the north, Charbonnières in the east and north-east, La Bazoche-Gouet in the south-east, Saint-Ulphace in the south and south-west and Saint-Bomer in the west and north-west.
