The community is located in the Thiérache , 15 kilometers south of Hirson . Morgny-en-Thiérache is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cuiry-lès-Iviers in the northeast, Archon in the southeast, Dolignon and Sainte-Geneviève in the south, Renneval in the southwest, Dagny-Lambercy in the west and the municipality of Saint-Clément in the canton of Hirson in the North.
