La Flamengrie is a French commune with 1,118 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016: Picardy ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Vervins and the canton of Vervins (until 2015: canton of La Capelle ).

La Flamengrie is located about 41 kilometers east-northeast of Saint-Quentin in the Thiérache landscape . This is where the Noirrieu originates . La Flamengrie is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Floyon and Larouillies in the north, Étrœungt in the north and northeast, Rocquigny in the east and northeast, Clairfontaine in the southeast, La Capelle in the south, Buironfosse in the southwest and Le Nouvion-en-Thiérache in the west.

The National Route 2 runs through the municipality .
