The Noirrieu is a river in France that runs in the Aisne department in the Hauts-de-France region . It rises in the municipality of La Flamengrie and initially drains in a generally westerly direction. At Étreux it reaches the Canal de la Sambre à l'Oise , which it now accompanies to its mouth and also serves as a canalised river in sections. The Noirrieu swings to the southwest and finally flows into the Oise as a right tributary after a total of 33 kilometers in the municipality of Vadencourt .
