geography

The departmental roads D78, D781 and D782 run through the town in the Arrondissement of Vervins and in the canton of Guise . The Noirrieu flows south of the village and reaches the Canal de la Sambre à l'Oise a little further west .

Population development

In 1962 the community had 453 inhabitants. The population then fell to 348 by 1999. By 2006 the number rose again to 376.
