The Central Asian Ovcharka ( Russian Среднеазиатская овчарка , transcribed Sredneasiatskaja owcharka , Central Asian Shepherd Dog) is a dog breed recognized by the FCI and originating from Central Asia ( FCI Group 2, Section 2.2, Standard No. 335 ). The breed standard is under the auspices of Russia.
Origin and history
The Central Asian Ovcharka is a relatively unknown dog in Germany . It originally found its distribution in the Central Asian republics of Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan , Tajikistan , Uzbekistan , Afghanistan , Turkmenistan and Mongolia . The Central Asian Ovcharka is no stranger to the Urals and Siberia . Due to this enormous distribution area, the variety of the individual types of that breed is due.
description
The dogs bred today are mostly mixed types from different lofts. As with the Caucasian Ovcharka, there are light, agile, agile dogs from the steppe areas as well as the more massive dogs from the mountain regions. With a well-developed undercoat and different lengths of the cover coat , the dogs are ideally suited to the different climatic conditions of Central Asia.
