The Mittelland route is the national cycle route 5 in Switzerland . It begins in Romanshorn , runs through Winterthur , Zurich , Aarau , Solothurn and Biel to Lausanne .

The national cycle route 5 has a length of 370 km of which 85 km are unpaved. In both directions, 1600 meters of altitude have to be overcome. It is of Cycling in Switzerland and classified both as a condition for the request as easily.

Like the other national cycle routes in Switzerland, the route is marked with red signs.

Connecting routes
