Marchenbach is the common name for three districts of the municipality of Haag an der Amper in the north of the Upper Bavarian district of Freising . The three districts in detail are Obermarchenbach, Mittermarchenbach and Untermarchenbach.

history

Marchenbach is mentioned for the first time when the priests Einhart and Friduperht handed over their property to "Wannichenbach", the house of the Mother of God in Freising Castle, in 822. This certificate is attributed to Bitterauf in Obermarchenbach. The exact assignment is uncertain. At the time of the Duchy of Bavaria , the villages of Mittermarchenbach and Untermarchenbach belonged to the Plörnbach chairman of the office of walls . The village of Obermarchenbach, however, belonged to the Isareck rule . In the course of the formation of the community after the second community edict, Plörnbach became a politically independent rural community in 1818, which included all three districts designated as Marchenbach. With the municipal reform , the municipality of Plörnbach and with it the three districts of Obermarchenbach, Mittermarchenbach and Untermarchenbach were incorporated into Haag an der Amper on January 1, 1976 .
