Moaaz Mohamed Ibrahim (born February 8, 1999 ) is a Qatari discus thrower who occasionally competes in the shot put .

Athletic career

Moaaz Mohamed Ibrahim gained his first international experience at the Arab Junior Championships 2016 in Tlemcen , where he won gold medals in the shot put and discus throw with 17.00 m and 62.13 m. He then won the Junior Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City with 60.49 m with the discus and was seventh with 16.86 m in the shot put. He also won the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, with 63.63 m . In 2017 he finished sixth at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku with 54.15 m and reached twelfth place at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar with 54.49 m. He also won the bronze medal at the Arab Championships in Radès with 58.94 m. The following year he won the shot put at the Asian Junior Championships in Gifu with 18.57 m and won the silver medal with the discus with 61.50 m. He was then at the U20 World Championships in Tampere with 59.87 m fifth. At the end of August he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and finished ninth there with 53.08 m. In 2019 he reached fifth place with a width of 59.80 m at the Asian Championships in Doha .
