Moarhof in Telfes

The Moarhof (a former Meierhof ) is a late medieval farm in Telfes im Stubai , right next to the Telfes parish church . The farm is a listed building .

description

The typologically further developed Mittertennhof is essentially late Romanesque and, according to the inscription on the ridge purlin , was generously expanded in 1597. The residential part is bricked, the business part above the bricked ground floor is built in post construction. Most of the windows still have the original, very deep chamfers . The Moarhof stands out due to the frescoes, also from the end of the 16th century, which show St. Christopher and St. Florian , a depiction of Mariahilf is marked 1660. Inside there are vaults, an arched staircase and a room with a wooden beam ceiling.

An extensive restoration has been taking place since 2007 to ensure the continued existence of the Moarhof. The completion of the restoration is planned for 2020.
