The magazine mobile and safe - the traffic watch magazine is the magazine of the German traffic watch e. V. (DVW)
mobile and secure appears as a print version as well as an app (Android and iOs) for smartphones, tablets and PCs. Six times a year, the 36-page magazine on topics in the areas of information traffic safety , traffic education , traffic psychology , traffic policy , traffic engineering , traffic law , accident research , mobility , road-safety work, transport and environment . The focus is on the safety of all road users - whether young or old, pedestrians , e-scooters, bicycles, pedelecs, mopeds, motorcycles or drivers . The magazine highlights the latest findings in traffic safety research and traffic law, the activities of the German traffic watch as well as projects and actions of the district, local and state traffic watch. Practice practiced on the ground and the tips, expert knowledge and scientific findings derived from it are conveyed in a technically correct and understandable manner. In addition, the Landesverkehrswacht Niedersachsen eV and Nordrhein-Westfalen eV create supplements that are enclosed with the association magazine. The traffic watch magazine is aimed at members, sponsors of the German traffic watch, the state, regional, roundabout and local traffic watch as well as youth traffic watch, traffic educators of the police, moderators and specialist advisors for traffic safety as well as car users and road users interested in safety. It is financed by moderate subscription fees (8.90 euros per year, 6 issues including app) and advertisements.
history
Since 1929, Deutsche Verkehrswacht e. V. an association magazine. The "Verkehrswarte" appeared monthly until December 1940. "The Landesverkehrswarte" was then published monthly from September 1953, from 1956 in June / July and in November / December as a double issue. "Deutsche Verkehrswacht - magazine for safety in road traffic" was the name of the traffic watch magazine in 1957, it was published every two months. The title of the traffic watch magazine from 1978 on was "traffic watch praxis". “Safe on the move” appeared from 1986.
mobile and safe - the traffic watch magazine was founded in 1994 and has been published by Max Schmidt-Römhild GmbH & Co. KG in Lübeck since then . Rita Bourauel has been the magazine's editor-in-chief since 1994.
Every year since 2000 the “mobile and safe” award for traffic guards has been awarded in three categories, and since 2014 the “mobile and safe” special award for youth work. The prize is donated by Max Schmidt-Römhild GmbH & Co. KG. Publisher Norbert Beleke is the initiator of the "mobile and safe" competition . The prizes: 1st place: mobile and safe price in gold, certificate + 1550.- Euro, 2nd place: mobile and safe price in silver, certificate + 1050.- Euro, 3rd place: mobile and safe price in bronze, certificate + 550.- Euro,
“Mobile and safe” has also committed itself to European goals and in 2008 joined the European Road Safety Charter of the European Commission.
